WW1 Unissued Wrapped Example of the British 1917 Pattern Trench Cap.

An incredibly rare example of the British Army serge trench cap, contained in the original paper wrapping as issued. Khaki woolen cloth with full oilskin lining sweatband. Complete with General Service buttons and correct thin brown leather chinstrap. The wrapping with the size stamped to the outside. Some service moth.

Please note it is difficult to put a condition on this cap, as it has not been removed from the original wrapping. From what can be seen there appears to be evidence of light surface moth, and is dusty. The cap represents an example as it would have left the mill, for issue.
