A good full sized example institued in 1961 for those who had completed 15 years service in the Civil Defence organisations. Cupro-nickel oval, unnamed as issued, the obverse portraying the head and shoulders of Queen Elizabeth II; the reverse with three embossed shields bearing the initials 'CD' Civil Defence, 'AFS' Auxiliary Fire Service, and 'NHSR' National Hospital Service Reserve
