Air Raid Precautions 1938 silver male warden ARP badge and box
Good scarcel full sized silver male warden 'Air Raid Precautions badge', designed by sculptor 'Eric Gill', made at the Royal Mint and authorised in February 1937, the reverse bearing London silver hallmarks for 1938 and maker's details 'J.C' (Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole and contained in red square cardboard box. Badge height approx 39mm
